Thinking toilet

I swear the toilet is Aidens thinking couch that is when he asks the most in depth questions. Like today he is like "mom why does the Holy Ghost talk to us and why does the Holy Ghost tell us to make good choices" Lets see what else oh and he asks why is the water in the sink gross and why is smiths (grocery store) water so good. Which I explained and then he asks how does smiths get the water from the mountains. He cracks me up. At least the questions so far have been pretty easy for me to answer but I always wonder whats next.

Aiden found his goofy hat from disney land that we got three years ago ...it's a little too small but oh it brought back memories of how little he was. They grow up to fast.

I am legend

I just have to post this...the other night micah rented this movie and i didn't know what it was about just the fact that it had Will Smith in it. I started watching it and I was like, what in the world. Micah wasn't home and i called him and asked about the movie because he hates scary movies. He didn't know what it was about either. I'm ok to watch them but this one freaked me out. I stopped the movie and waited for micah to get home to watch it with me. I shouldn' t have watched it and it scared me to death I'm still having nightmares about it and its been over a week. Especially driving at night by my self I keep waiting for some mutant to jump over my car. I'm sure many people loved it but me not so much. I don't have nightmares watching intense movies but after that one. I think I'm with Micah now... no more scary movies for me for a while. eek!!!

Lagoon

This seems a little weird but we went to Lagoon without our kids. I was skeptical at going at first because i didn't want to go without my kids. But our friends asked us and they weren't taking there kids. So ya we went yesterday while my mom watched the kids all day. I have to say it was quite nice being care free and not worrying about the kids, but i still missed them a ton. OH boy I am getting so old. I was so tired by the end of the day and I'm still achy. I forgot how bad i get sick on those rides. THere are a ton of new rides since the last time I have been there. There is this one ride it gives me a headache just thinking about it. After that ride i swear i was going to barf. I got so nausious. I didn't want to be a wuse so I went on every ride they went on except one. I held up pretty good. I mean by not complaining. But when I got home I told micah I think I'm done with Lagoon for a long time. He just laughed. Seriously even some playstation games gets me motion sick so imagine what those rides did to me. Oh boy!!! But overall it was fun. Although i was kind of bummed that we didn't go on the rides that I really like ....the rattlesnake rapids and the log ride. Oh well.

Our new hobby

Aiden has been asking go to go on a bike ride since he has learned how to ride his bike. Finally we got my bike fixed. Micah found a bike for me in the dumpster last summer at one of his job sites and it was a really nice bike it just needed some repair so we took it to the bike store and got it fixed. We have been going on bike rides every night....The nice thing about Herriman is there are a ton of trails Aiden picks a new way to go every night. Mason loves sitting in his seat behind daddy. Mostly he knows that when we go on bikes rides we see tons of horses and we go feed the billy goats that a guy has down the street.

Last Sunday we went up to Brighton and went biking. It is so pretty up there. We also found a walking trail around a little lake that our kids enjoyed. There was a ton of snow still. Anyways there was a ton of water and Aiden of course would go through really fast on his bike and the water would spit out behind him and made a huge mud trail all down his back it was funny he looked like a skunk with a black line instead of white. On the way up there was a huge moose off the side of the road in the river.
Aiden was in heaven when we came to this huge excavator in the middle of our trail.

Herriman Rodeo

If i have to say at least one thing i like about were we live is the fireworks....There are four rodeos during the months of june and after every rodeo they do fireworks which are really good. The rodeo park is just down the street so all we do is put a blanket in our yard and we are set, no driving, no traffic. I love it. This last time i think i scared mason we weren't quite ready for the fireworks we were babysitting four other neighbor kids so our house was pretty crazy. Then all of a sudden we heard the booms. I was like ahh hurry hurry lets get out before we miss them I gathered up all the kids and ran outside and I think i scared poor mason he wouldn't look at them he kept saying "no fireworks mason's bed". He was ready for bed!
The other night we actually went to the rodeo since Mason loves horses so much. I can't believe but they actually sat through most of it. They liked it when the guys got bucked off the horses.

Splash Park

YESSS finally it's warm enough for the splash park since its been warm we have been going every other day. I love the splash park its so much easier than going to a swimming pool. I can just sit and read a book and watch the kids instead of worrying about them being in a pool and going to far in the deep. Although I'm a little concerned when mason and Aiden try to drink the water coming out of the holes pretty gross if you ask me ...i think that water just cycles through over and over. They love it i bring a plastic cup and the are good for hours splashing each other. I finally got some sun on me. I'm not so ghostly anymore. Anyone wants to go the splash park we are up for it anytime. Aiden creating his own water park he pulled his swimming pool under this slide. It was pretty entertaining.

Catching up

I'm a little late...but I just want to tell my hubby Happy Father's Day! He is the best. Luv you! For father's day I gave him guitar hero he has been hinting to me but he had no idea i was going to get it for him ...he was so surprised. Aiden helped me do a scavenger hunt for him we set up clues all around the house for him to find his present it was pretty fun. I thought i did it hard but of course micah got every clue right.
Mason with a rock star hair and his famous "cheez" smile
Later that night we went to Grandma and Grandpa maglebys for dinner (micah's mom and dad) I love there sunday dinners they are so yummy. Happy father's day to Grandpa Dale. My kids just love him to death. Talk about a grandpa that has so much love for his grandkids he loves to be involved in each of there lives. He is full of energy and loves to play with them. Mason at least once a day goes through the house singing grandpa dale grandma pam over and over.

The Beginning of summer

You know its the beginning of summer when school ends, t-ball season ends, the roses begin to blossom and bedtime starts after 9:30 instead of 8:00. You have to buy more than one swimsuit because thats all my kids wear during the summer..the play in the water everyday. The park becomes a daily routine. Oh and popcicles is one of the daily food groups.

OH how I love summer!

This was Aiden's last day of preschool it was circus day and got to dress up. He wanted to dress up like superman. I have to say he was the cutest superman...micah did the final touch with his hair it was cute.

I think I got the pink eye from petting these horses that live down the street mason makes me take him there at least twice a day. But since the pink eye I won 't touch them. Mason keeps saying pet him, pet him. I'm like sorry.

Having fun at the park here are some pictures from the other day we took cousin quincy since his parent were at primarys with his sister getting eye surgery. We watched him all day..they had a blast.

....until someone gets hurt, Aiden started throwing sand on Mason

and paybacks aren't fun, then Mason threw sand on Aiden. Time to go home!!!

Pink eye

The other day my eye started to feel funny and then it turned really red and started to hurt. I was thinking allergies since my kids both had allergies and red eyes. I think this was something different and then the next morning I woke up to this...I was going to post it but its pretty scary looking my eye was closed shut and oozing pretty disgusting. It hurt so bad. By mid morning it started to open but it was red all day. Micah was embarrased to go anywhere with me it looks like someone beat me. Then the next day the other eye was closed shut and got a horrible sore throat I just got a virus and finally after a week it went away. EWH it was so yucky!

FIRE SAFETY

So the other day we got a thing in the mail for a free dinner at Madelines steak house for the first x amount of people that call so we called and got in. But the catch was we had to listen to a fire safety presentation. I just have to say it was the best informative meeting I have been to. I can't believe how many people have been killed in a fire. It is the number one killer for 5 year old children and younger. The factor is TIME....the guy said no one should die in a fire when a fire starts you have to get out in two to three minutes or usually someone doesn't make it out. It so sad he showed us a lot of newspaper articles of people that didn't make it out because there smoke alarms didn't go off and for some reason fires usually start in the night when people are sleeping...don't know why. People usually don't wake up in enough time and then it's too late to get everyone out. He also said smoke usually kills people before the fire. It gets in your lungs and then it causes you to ...oh whats that word I can't think of it but he said its the same as being drunk. So when you have too much smoke inhaled your thinking is off and you can't remember how to get out of your house. The whole time I was in this meeting i was thinking about my boys being at grandma's house and is grandmas house safe?. For example don't have all your appliances plugged in...check the lint in your dryer, make sure you don't have batteries stored in junk drawers with flammable items in there as well. Don't store paint or gas containers in mechanical room. ( who does that? but there are people that do). Clean your smoke alarms by dusting them off...a note he said in most cases smoke alarms will not go off when there is an actual fire because the smoke particles are so big that it usually bounces over the sensor and doesn't set it off...I know weird. It always goes off when you have a small cooking fire though. So if you don't have a fire extinguisher now please go get one ....his advice store it in your bedrooms. Make sure its not a plastic one it should be metal. Check batteries in your smoke alarm. Have a fire escape plan for your family especially for the little ones so they know to get out instead of hide under a bed. Have something to break a window ...the window usually won't open in a fire due to the heat. So yes I am buying a fire extinguisher today probably a couple. You always think it won't happen to you but you never know. Since fire has killed more people than people killed in all the wars combined. I hope this lhelps in being prepared in case of a fire.

Aidens curiosity

This was cute so I am journaling it in my blog....In the car today while driving home from school Aiden said "How does Heavenly Father see us when we are hiding or under a roof in our house or car" (He is so random). Anyway I replied with, he is Amazing and can do and see everything, he created this earth, and the mountains and the animals.....then Aiden said " the animals? even crocodiles, I don't like them, why'd he create those?" I love all the questions he has been asking. Then he added "did he even create boogers, cuz those are gross, what about owies did he create those." Then the questions kept coming....This kid just makes me laugh all day long.
