Uh crap!

I probably shouldn't be using that word term but it fit perfectly in the day I had yesterday. To start off on the "crappy" day I had ..speaking of crap, yep thats what started my crazy day. Mason is learning to potty train but he will not poop in the toilet. Usually I catch him before he actually starts pooping in his underwear, but this time I didn't and unfortunately we were at target. I had to clean him in the sink of the restroom. Then we got home and I gave him a bath and sure enough five minutes later i look over and there are little poops and poop particles surrounding him. So gross!!!!!

I had to make dinner for a lady in my ward and of course I got a late start I didn't make it to the grocery store until after masons nap. We got to smiths and of course Mason was screaming the whole entire time because we left his mqueen cars and he has to hold them everywhere we go. Then when we were loading the car I could here this whistling sound and I looked down and there was like a five inch screw sticking out of my tire. Right then I just started to sob I sat there trying to pull the stupid screw out or in so I can drive it home but it wouldn't budge. There was no way I was driving it home sticking out like that because I already ruined the other back tire which still had our spare on...so ya I couldn't switch tires either. I went inside hoping to see someone to get me a ride home because I had to drop off dinner in 20 minutes. AHH! I spotted my cousin who would take me home and then I found my neighbor. whew! She kindly took me home. My car is still at smiths because of course micah was in wyoming and wasn't going to make it home until the next morning.

I am just so greatful that those kind of days don't happen everyday.

What did I do

I have been growing Aiden's hair out since March I saw this cute picture in the spring childrens place add. I fell in love. It has been a long and treadfull experience ....I hate the growing out process. It was starting to look like the picture and Micah the other day said I think it needs some trimming again ( he wasn't liking it) So we went to the same lady we have been going to and showing her again the same picture of the hair I love. Anyways she took my comment of my husband not liking the hair to a different level and totally chopped it before I could say "wait stop" after it was done, I was like eh I could live with it until it grows out, but that only lasted a day. I couldn't stand it ....is it me or am I totally paranoid. I treat my kids hair like my own. Anyways, his hair looked like a big mushroom ..i know i know thats so rude to say about your kids hair but seriously it did. The next day my dream of having his hair look like this .....
(The hair I was trying for)

went down the drain. (sigh) I went back and got his hair all the way cut so at least it had some style to it, but I still like the longer hair so maybe in another 8 months it will turn out the way I like it....thats just so far away. I should have never cut it. First of all it was so easy to do especially when he hates doing his hair or having any kind of hair gel on it. This new haircut requires gel.
Before the hair cut...it was almost there just needed a (little) trimming

After the trimming (the mushroom style)only lasted a day.

The final hair cut. This was his style that he had before we tried to grow it out. The high maintenance style I call it. Here goes many mornings of argueing to get his hair done.

Priceless

The time you spend teaching your kids whats right and whats wrong and teaching them stories from the scriptures....sometimes I wonder are they really listening.
Aiden has been wanting me to tell the story about Nephi over and over again. Then I said lets go to Moroni so I told him the story about Moroni. This was awhile ago and yesterday we are checking out at the store and he saw the temple and he said "look mom its the guy who burried the scriptures for us". That answered my question...Yes they do listen!

When I was telling him the story about Moroni hes like "so when he burried them and joseph found them how did we get them...did he take them to the store and then we just bought it from the store." He he! then he said "why did Joseph make the words so small" ( I have little scriptures) then I explained. It was so cute.

Scarecrow Festival

What a perfect day to be outside. We usually go to cornbellies thing at Thanksgiving point every year and we usually end up freezin our bums off. This year it was so nice and we decided to go the scarecrow festival instead of cornbellies which was way fun. The kids had a blast with there cousins and they couldn't get enough of the slides. I was so worn out at the end since I had to keep taking Mason down it he was to small to climb up by himself. Talk about some exercise. I was so glad when Micah finally met us after he got done with work so we could switch off. There favorite part were the rockets they got to make and got to blast them off. Aiden went in the Haunted House and he wasn't even scared he was so proud.

Mason with cousin Kyla
Aiden and his balloon fishing pole that grandma got him
Mason found his favorite thing....he loves to jump.

Our Fam at the scarecrow festival.
The biggest jumping balloon. Aiden is finally big enough to do the big one by himself.

He finally got the hang of it after a few falls and cries.

THe Pumpkin Patch

I think it's tradition now since we have been doing it for the last three years The weekend of conference we have been going to this pumpkin patch with the Hastleton's in south jordan they have it decorated so cute. The kids love it and Aiden went out into the patch and wanted to find the biggest pumpkin ever...well he found one and it was way to big to carry so he settled for ALMOST the biggest pumpkin ever. Of course Mason got his baby pumpkin that he has been wanting ...he is into baby stuff...He wants a baby car and he wanted to see a baby shark. He's funny. We couldn't get our haystacks this time since we didn't bring the truck maybe next year.

Our Trip

Aiden jumping the waves with dad

Aiden and Mason at the aquarium. This tank was huge.
cousin kyla and quincy and Aiden in the hot tub at the beach house.
We finally found goofy in disneyland.
Mason burying his feet in the sand.
We had to buy ponchos in disney. It was a great bib too.
Aiden found his first clam and then lost it and was very upset until he found some sand crabs to play with.
Making a huge sand hole to bury themselves.

On the submarine on the nemo ride. It was worth the wait in line. And Mason was happy that a shark didn't eat him.

We are back home now to ...wishing we were still there. The weather was so nice. The boys had fun although Mason kept saying he wanted to go home but then Aiden kept telling us he wanted to live there.

We stayed on the beach for most of the days but then went to an aquariam because Mason just wanted to see a shark ...i think its his favorite animal. He always talks about sharks and also that they are going to eat him. Like when we got off the nemo ride at disneyland the first thing he said the shark didn't eat me. He he.

The last day we were there we went to Disney again and finished up the rides we didn't go on yet. Aidens favorite ride was of course the rollercoaster I think it was called space mountain. He loved it. For Mason he just wanted to see Mickey.

Then we left for home and got home Saturday night lucky for us our kids slept pretty much the whole way back.

The sunset from the balcony of the beach house it was so beautiful.

And Aiden's highlight of the day at the aquariam..giving the diver a high five.
